Renaissance Villa Cà Barbaro
Villa Cà Barbaro, from which the town of the same name nestled on the southern slope of the Euganean Hills takes its name, is a wonderful example of Renaissance architecture dating back to an ancient defensive fort owned by an important feudal family in the area.
The Villa is spread over a regular plot at the top of Mount Buso, from where it towers over the entire surrounding plain as far as the eye can see.
The building is spread over three levels and extends for 2100m2 above ground to which are added the suggestive cellars and basements, while the main access is guaranteed by the large central trachyte staircase.
Accompanying the property we find a farm of approximately 10 hectares.
This is undoubtedly one of the most representative villas of Venetian culture, which can certainly be counted, once restored to its ancient splendor, among the most popular stops on local tourism.
WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT THE AREA: The Villa is very close to the Terme Euganee area, one of the oldest spa centers as well as convenient to cities such as Padua, Rovigo, Verona, Vicenza, and just an hour from the beaches of Chioggia and Albarella.
A short distance away we also find the historic village of Arquà Petrarca and the walled city of Montagnana.
