In a pleasant area open to tourism like Catania, the luxury real estate market is undoubtedly expanding more than in other parts of our country.
To demonstrate this, we share the statements made by Martino Scornavacca, head of the "Consulenti Immobiliari SRL" agency in Catania, a partner of Luxforsale.it, in the following interview.
What is the current trend of the real estate market in the area your agency covers?
Catania is a city that develops in its historical area and expands towards Mount Etna. Being in a central area of Catania, while also absorbing the surrounding towns, the current trend is focused on young clients seeking apartments with at least two bedrooms or small houses with outdoor spaces.
Based on your experience, have you been able to identify a target clientele that approaches your real estate agency?
The clientele acquired over the years is of medium-high level, consisting mainly of clients looking for properties starting from 500K and above.
What types of properties are most in demand at the moment?
In addition to the classic market, such as renovated apartments, there is a very noticeable shift towards more high-performing choices, both in terms of space and energy efficiency. Therefore, villas, penthouses, or large apartments are in demand.
What motivated you to form a partnership with Luxforsale for your real estate agency?
The decision came from the need to diversify the market and clientele, offering luxury properties both in Italy and abroad, having established partnerships in various countries.
Based on your experience in the sector, what are the potential future developments of the luxury real estate market in your area and in general?
This is not an easy question to answer without sounding too obvious. I can say that, at present, we are noticing interest, especially from clients aged 35-40, in properties with luxury features. Of course, expanding the market to foreign clients could further develop this market, as Sicily also has many luxury properties.
