On the first hill of Bologna, in a splendid panoramic position, is a detached villa of about 350 sqm. Located on the edge of Villa Ghigi Park and close to the center and to Porta d´Azeglio, the villa boasts a splendid portico of 50 sq m overlooking the private park of about 1600 sq m, enriched by century-old trees. In the park there is a small building of 15 sqm used as a wood stove / tool shed, a tavern and large cellars with exposed brick ceilings of 60 sqm, as well as a shed for six cars, for a total of 450 sqm commercial. The villa, with the charm of yesteryear, is also remembered in the famous verses of the 18th canto of Dante´s Inferno, imprinted on a plaque at the back of the house, where the Supreme Poet lived for a period.
On the ground floor, the entrance leads to a double living room with fireplace, exposed beams and decorated antique coffered ceilings, a dining room, an eat-in kitchen and a bathroom. All rooms have direct access to the park.
On the second floor, there are three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom.
The attic, habitable, offers windows with views of the park and the city and consists of two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, a study and a storage room.
The property would be ideal for use as a bed & breakfast, as all rooms have private bathrooms.
The boiler is new and condensing, with independent gas heating.
